Login and Access Troubleshooting

Here are the most common reasons you might have trouble accessing VPO.

  1. You haven't received your invitation.
If you are expecting an invitation to a project in VPO and haven't received it after a few business hours, check your spam/junk mail folder. If you still don't see it, please contact Support at [email protected]
  2. Access is denied or your username is not found.
If you receive the message, "Access denied: [Your email address] does not have permissions to access this resource," or, "We're sorry, but [your email address] can't be found in the [VPO] directory":
    - You might not have access to a specific VPO project, module, or file. Contact the Project Manager to confirm you should have access.

    - If you're prompted to enter login credentials, make sure you're using the same email address that the VPO invitation was sent to.

    - If you weren't prompted to enter login credentials, your browser might have other credentials stored. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then login to VPO again. If you still receive this message, try again using an Incognito or InPrivate browser window.

    - If you received your invitation recently, permissions may still be syncing in VPO. Please try again after a few minutes.

    - Group and Alias email addresses are not accepted. If you know your email address is one these, please contact the Project Manager to provide a different email address.

    - If you continue to receive one of these messages, let us know at [email protected].
  3. Your invitation has expired.
Invitations expire after 90 days. If your invitation email was sent more than 90 days ago, contact your Project Manager or request a new invitation at [email protected].

  4. Incorrect Password or Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
VPO does not have control over your password or MFA methods such as emailed or texted codes. For assistance with these, contact your organization's IT department.
