Requesting a New Project

Complete the New Project form to request that VPO Support set up a new project for you.

  1. If you have Portfolio-level permissions and the ability to request new projects, navigate to the Project Center. This is usually linked on the Portfolio homepage. Click "See all" if it appears.
  2. On the Project Center page, click New.

  3. Complete the New Project form:

    a. Complete all required fields, including Project Name and Project Number. 

    b. Set Create New Site? to 'Yes.'

    Note:

    If you are entering information but aren't ready for the project to be created, you can leave Create New Site? set to 'No' and return later to switch it. VPO Support will not be notified to begin the project creation process until this is set to 'Yes.'

    c. Complete the remaining sections, such as Location and Attachments. Optionally, attach an image to be featured on the new project's homepage.

    d. When you're finished, click Save and Close.

  4. If you set 'Create New Site?' to 'Yes,' your project is now in the Requested status. VPO Support is automatically notified to begin creating the project.

  5. After the project has been created and checked by VPO, the status becomes Reviewed. The user who submitted the new project request is also sent an email notification stating that the project is ready.
